Felicia Day the Werewolf Hunter

Felicia Day will star in Red a Syfy original movie as a werewolf-hunting descendant of Little Red Riding Hood.

“Red brings her fiancé home, where he meets the family and learns about their business - hunting werewolves. Red' fiancé is skeptical until he is bitten by a werewolf. When her family insists he must be killed, Red tries saving him."

The story line sounds horrible and it is a Syfy original which does not bode well for the project.  I’m also confused why Red isn’t the descendent of the woodsman.

Making her the descendent of little red riding hood sends mythological mixed messages about the film.  Will she be naive and unprepared not heading the wisdom of her elders.  Are we to expect after a scarring experience with her fiancé she will be saved by some axe wielding woodsman. I would be upset if they put Felicia into such a weak role especially if they want us to believe she is a successful werewolf hunter.

Felicia Day is in it so I will have to watch.  Red is scheduled to premiere in 2011.

Felicia Day in Charlie's Angels TV reboot

Drew Barrymore [... would ...]like to update the old TV show for ABC. A rep for Sony Pictures Television confirms that the network is close to ordering a pilot of the reboot, which Barrymore would develop with Leonard Goldberg, who produced the original series with Aaron Spelling, and Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles‘ Josh Friedman, who’s been tapped to write and exec produce (EW).

Felicia Day's name has been brought up a lot, and I think she would be perfect.  The better question is who should the other two be.

Freema Agyeman feliciaday Dichen Lachman

Freema Agyeman and Dichen Lachman would make for the dream team.

The likelihood of these three staring in a new Charlie's Angels is slim, but wouldn't it be great?

Who would your dream angels be?

DVD Releases: October 6, 2009

[reus id="21"]

Out this week we have three DVDs to feature:  The Guild: Seasons 1 & 2, Year One, and Red Dwarf: Back to Earth.

  • The Guild: Seasons 1 & 2: The Guild is hilarious, geeky, fun! Fans of RPG's and MMORPG's will love this show. I first got into it because Felicia Day rules and am not let down. The guilds actual release was on September 29th but I did not want to miss this one. A great example of an independent production The Guild is a must own.  Watch a music video "Date My Avatar" from the Guild to get an idea of how funny this show is.

  • Year One: Banished from their primitive village after the tribe elders deem them too lazy, Zed and Oh embark upon an adventure-filled journey through the ancient world.  Being a Jack Black movie sparked my interest in Year One.  The trailers looked funny and now I can rent it.  If you have watched Year One let me know what you think about it.

  • Red Dwarf: Back to Earth: I love Red Dwarf. I started watching it on PBS as a child and have really enjoyed watching it now on DVD.  For those just getting into Red Dwarf you should really start back at the beginning since the impact and probably several jokes will be lost like Lister getting to finally go back to earth to get his Island home on Fiji.  I haven't watched Back to Earth but eagerly await to rent it.

Legend of Neil Season 2 and the Musical Episode

felicia-day-fairyLegend of Neil screened the first half of its second season last night in Los Angeles for cast, crew and press, it concluded with an epic 9-minute musical episode. And that musical was kicked off by Dr. Horrible star Felicia Day, playing a naughty fairy in love with the hapless Neil, saying, “Oh, I’m not much for online musicals,” before launching into her first number (New TeeVee).

I feel like dancing in the streets!

The opening song for Legend of Neil is hilarious, and Day was great in Dr Horrible.  I can only imagine how sick and wrong a musical episode of the Legend of Neil will be.

I have a question:

Felicia Day schools Jimmy Fallon on WoW

Felicia should get a check from Blizzard for all of the publicity she gives them for World of Warcraft.  Hell, if she ran an official The Guild Guild, I would probably buy the game and at least check it out.

Felicia’s reactions to Fallon are hilarious as she teaches him how to play WoW.

It did make me happy that I play City of Heroes when Fallon does the bit about his n00b travails.  I have heard that story from a lot of people, and had the same experience ages ago on Ultima Online.

If this is a fair example of the new Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, I might like the new show.

The Legend of Neil

the_beginning_mo I am so glad that Codex shared the link to Sandeep Parikh's new project.  Sandeep, probably best known as Zaboo from The Guild, is writing, directing, and producing a new series: The Legend of Neil.

The Legend of Neil is a webseries produced by Effinfunny.com, Atom.com, and Comedy Central. Written by Sandeep Parikh & Tony Janning, this series follows the reluctant adventures of Neil- a gas station attendant from Jersey who gets sucked into 'The Legend of Zelda' and has to fight his way out.

first_blood_mo That is the clean version, and I think I am going to save the full version for the credits.  All I can say is, if you loved the Legend of Zelda and you are not easily offended, then you will laugh your butt off.

Felicia Day (Codex) will be in Episode 3!

I have a few very nit-picky complaints about their site.  When I visited, neither the RSS for there site or for the show updates were working.  I signed up for the email newsletter, but hope to switch over the the RSS as soon as possible.  If you notice that they are working, please let me know.
