Shadows

Shadows and Light (the animated journey begins)

My brain aches... and it will for a while longer.  I am a storyteller at heart.  All i want to do it tell my stories in the most compelling ways that i can... so I have set out down the road to learn how do make animation. By looking at the site and the book, you can see the quality of the images I can and do produce, but the nature of animation is a beast that I have yet to get a hold on.  The hardest part for me has been creating the characters in a way that is compelling and stylized with out loosing any of the life I bring to them through written words.

I am getting better, but I am having to learn a whole new skill set to do this, but I am seeing promise at every step.

So to the future.  Thanks for all your encouragement,

Weather or Not

As the clouds roll over head, I can feel them in my mind.  Sounds and shadows... I have been away from the web for a while trying to think up a story to write for June.  I have decided to do a mystery.  A first for me, so it is a real challenge.  The summer blues have firmly taken hold of me... so it is a challenge to get anything done, but I move on. The major challenge is to decide what the mystery will be about.  It will probably be about a theft or a kidnapping, cause as you all know, I am not a fan of murder mysteries, but I am keeping an open mind.  We will see what I can find as I grope around in the dark corners of my mind.  The cast of characters keeps growing, so I will have to thin them out before I actually start writing.

I must say that the weather is not helping.  The rain relaxes me too much.  The thunder sets me on edge.  The gloom makes me think more about writing another supernatural horror.

When I write, I need stability and routine, and the weather is working against those needs.  Soon, I hope the weather will stabilize, but it looks like another 5 days of this before it all moves through.

I will go light a candle for the weather, another for the story, and another for all of you guys.

DreamCypher, the new album by the Cruxshadows

The new Cruxshadows CD came out today, I look forward to listening to and reviewing this album. The Cruxshadows are a bit pop for me, but in the wasteland of new Goth music, they are probably one of the best goth bands that are still making music.I must say, I love the cover, and the first single.

Soaps on SciFi Channel??

Now, I know I might piss some people off saying this: Dark Shadows was a terrible show, but I understand why it was on the SciFi Channel. What is up with this:

The Sci Fi Channel is going into the soap business. Beginning next week (February 13, 2006) the science fiction cable channel, owned by NBC Universal will begin airing the Emmy Award winning soap opera Passions, starring Juliet Mills as part of its [cut out, I will not promote time] morning schedule (Slice of SciFi).

Will Soap air soon? You know Soap the comedy series? There is an exorcism in it. Am I the only one who thinks SciFi Channel may have jumped the shark on this one?
